- Get 1 tbsp chopped fresh corriender

The secret is in the simple white sauce (bechamel sauce) that is made with low fat milk. Place the sour cream in a small bowl. Gradually add the sour cream mixture into the soup pot, whisking constantly. A hearty and delicious soup, loaded with beef and veggies and full of fiber.
Steps to make Soup e jo (cream of barley soup):
- First nicely washed and cover the lid and soaked the barley for 6 to 8 hours
- Bring 1/2 litre water to boil, add chopped onion and chicken pieces in this and cook
- Now add soaked barley and rice and add cook for 10 to 15 minutes
- Shreded the carrot and potato
- Now add in cooking pot, and mix and cook
- When carrot and potato 3/4 done, take out the chicken pieces, shredded this
- Now add shredded chicken, chicken stock and salt and mix
- Add black pepper powder,chopped spring onion and mix on low flame. Other side boil milk in other sauce pan
- When it's boil add in chicken and vegetable pan, add olive oil and mix
- Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook again for 5 to 8 minutes, stir inbetween cook till it thickens, add chopped correinder and mix.
- Serve with lemon wedge,chopped parsley, spring onion and sprinkle some chilli flakes, pour olive oil over the top and serve.
Just before you want to serve the soup, check the seasoning, and stir in the lemon juice and the cream. Serve with the caramelised carrot ranged in pretty patterns on top.
