Hello everybody, I hope you’re having an amazing day today. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a distinctive dish, stromboli. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I will make it a bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.
Stromboli is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Stromboli is something which I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look fantastic.
The stromboli that I make uses pre-made pizza dough. But bread dough can be used as well. Kids love this pizza creation and adults love the grown-up pizza creation.
To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook stromboli using 6 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Stromboli:
- Take 1 (1 lb) Ball of Pizza Dough
- Take 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Prepare 1 Pack (about 8oz) of Pepperoni
- Prepare Freshly Grated Parmiggiano Reggiano optional
- Take 1 Tbsp Pizza Seasoning
- Prepare Pizza sauce for dipping
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir in enough flour to form a soft dough. Get Stromboli Recipe from Food Network. I don't like American cheese so I used shredded mozzarella and provolone.
Instructions to make Stromboli:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Roll the dough to about a 14 inch circle, l sprinkle the mozzarella and parmiggiano all over and lay the pepperoni all over that in a single layer followed by the pizza seasoning. (my kids like the sauce on it like in the pictures, just another opinion.)
- Tightly roll it like a jelly roll, pinching the seam.
- Place it seam side down and using a small paring knife make a few slices over the top for the steam to escape.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Notes- can use any pizza dough, or make your own, see my pizza dough recipe. (and my pizza seasoning recipe) I had one big pizza dough ball and cut it in have to make two.
- One without sauce
Also I make my own dough from scratch and serve this with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Stromboli is a type of turnover filled with various Italian cheeses (typically mozzarella) and usually Italian cold cuts (typically Italian meats such as salami, capocollo and bresaola) or vegetables. The dough used is either Italian bread dough or pizza dough. Stromboli was invented by Italian-Americans in the United States in Philadelphia. A stromboli is somewhat similar to a calzone.
